Deliveries from abroad

TEMU, Wildberries and forwarders from the US, Turkey and China — what to ship how, and where the customs limit sits.

You can order almost anything into Georgia — the question is through whom. Two platforms dominate: TEMU ships directly and cheaply, and Wildberries has opened pickup points in Batumi. Both come with catches.

🛍 TEMU and Wildberries

TEMU

The big convenience: it ships to Georgia directly, by courier to your door. Prices are low and the range is enormous, though quality is a lottery. You need a Georgian bank card to pay.

The duty-free limit is 300 ₾ per parcel. Above that TEMU usually offers to split your basket into two orders so no tax is due. Accept: otherwise you file a declaration and pay VAT.

⚠️ The downsides of delivery

Couriers usually do not call ahead — they turn up when it suits them. If you are out, the parcel can go back to a warehouse 📦

And finding out which warehouse sometimes means asking the courier himself, who does not always pick up 😅


❗️Couriers often will not leave parcels at a building's reception either.

💡 Tip: if you are expecting a delivery, keep your phone to hand and be ready to arrange the handover with the courier.

Wildberries appWildberries

According to shoppers, only a Georgian citizen or a residence-permit holder can place an order and collect it at a pickup point — a passport alone gets you turned away. The usual workaround is to order in the name of a friend with a Georgian ID.

The duty-free limit per parcel is 300 ₾ (goods plus shipping). Anything above that attracts 18% VAT plus a customs declaration fee.
In summer 2026 a rise to 900 ₾ was discussed, but that is still a proposal, not a rule — check the Revenue Service site before a large order.

free over 1,490 ₽, otherwise about 199 ₽

🚚 Forwarders

Georgian Post appGeorgian Post — the state postal service

The cheapest and the slowest. Fine for things that are neither urgent nor expensive. There are branches across the city, though not everywhere speaks Russian.

USA2Georgia

One of the most popular forwarders: the US, China and Turkey. It has parcel lockers and courier delivery across the country.

US → Georgia:
about a week
China → Georgia:
about a week
Turkey → Georgia:
about five days

Camex

Handles both small parcels and heavy freight: the US, Germany, Turkey, Greece, China and the UK. A good choice for furniture or appliances.

Onex and Inex

Two more local forwarders on the same model: their own warehouse abroad, their own per-kilo rate, collection in Georgia.

🛒 How forwarding works

  1. 1Register with the forwarder and get a warehouse address in the country you need — the US, Turkey or China.
  2. 2Use that address as the delivery address on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress or a Turkish site.
  3. 3Fill in the declaration in your account: what the item is and what it cost. Without it customs will not release the parcel.
  4. 4Pay for shipping by weight, then wait and follow the tracking number.
  5. 5Collect it from the Batumi warehouse or a locker, or wait for the courier.
