Groceries and supermarkets
Carrefour, Agrohub and corner shops: what is cheaper where, and where to go for everyday food.
checked in August 2026🏬 Big stores
Carrefour
The fullest range in the city: meat, fish and seafood, vegetables, local cheese and dairy, imported goods. This is where people come for the weekly big shop.
Agrohub
A hypermarket comparable to Carrefour in size and choice. It sits on the edge of town and is reckoned the priciest of the big ones — worth the trip for specific items.

Belarusian Production
A Belarusian food shop in Batumi: sausage, cheese, dairy, sweets and other familiar things.
A good stop if you are looking for the food you grew up with.
🏪 Corner shops
- Nikora — on almost every corner
- Spar — a little pricier, a wider range
- Nazilbe — a cheap supermarket chain for food, fruit and veg, household chemicals and basics
- Ori Nabiji — open late
They stay open late and cost more than the hypermarkets, but bread, water and milk are what you go there for.
Every street bakes bread in a tandoor all day — a shoti costs about a lari and, eaten hot, never survives the walk home.
